When You Wonder, You’re Learning: Mister Rogers’ Enduring Lessons for Raising Creative, Curious, Caring Kids brings the lessons of Mister Rogers to today, when connections, relationships and healing have never been more needed.
By exploring the science behind Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood in When You Wonder, You’re Learning, authors Gregg Behr and Ryan Rydzewski reveal the skills and mindsets that anchored Fred Roger’s show. The authors share how the tools he brought out through his show, such as curiosity, community, and collaboration, cost nothing and are priceless to developing our children’s lives of self-determination.
The conversation will be introduced by Ralph Smith, Managing Director of the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, who gave the keynote speech at the opening of the Fred Rogers Center in 2003 and is a recipient of the Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families Fred Rogers Award. Dr. Ryan Lee-James, of the Rollins Center, will moderate the discussion.
